3d buildings creation

I started using 3d studio max, the first, in absolutly, of the important programs for create in 3d, generally, and create building and object, in my High-school, at the end of '90s. One of my favourite work on 3d were work into the interior design of building. Nowdays in second life create building is more simple than use 3d studio max, but the result is exciting like when I was more young. For exemple, here, in sl, no everything need to start by first simple object, like a sphere or a cube, and work on it to create the form of the object that you desire, like 3d studio max, and the structure of working is very more simple if I refer to the complex 3d studio max. For exemple, do you don't have the possibility, in sl, to create a hole in that starting object, a hole in every form you want, called boolean function of 3d studio max, and do you need to work only assembly starting pieces, like cube and sphere, yes, obviously, but you can't use hole in it to adjust the object forming. This is the most important difference between the internal program of sl to create 3d objects and 3d studio max to create objects in 3d too. This is the basicly different of the 2 language of programs to do 3d creation. Obviously the movement that you can create in 3d studio max, here, in sl, is immediatly available using the specific 3d world where you live in. Sometimes you need to add to the objects you create in sl, a specific programming language, or, simple define it, script, with its own logics that you can learn with manuals, or have them already written to you in advance, and insert, in the appropriate space in the object modeling section 3d, to suitably animate your object. The textures, the external colour, like material, have the same logic in 3d studio max and in sl creation 3d programs. Imported files from outside is possible and great, but, sometimes, I prefer use the yet create object 3d in sl, and work on it to transform, a bit or a lot, the object in sl, created from someone else in the past definitively.


For exemple, I like have in my inventory, what I call, the portable houses, so, during this last period I searched created buildings in sl and I found a lot. There are a lot beautiful free, call freebies houses, from the freebies world of free object in sl. Sl 3d creator work following this strategies: no more of 256 objects linking together to create a ended objects. So, much of houses, having a lot more pieces and you can enjoy it only assembly all the different parts at the moment that you want have your portable houses in sl world. But is a bit stressing spending time to assemblate it every moment, so I decided to modificated a bit the asembly part taked in my inventory at start, to create the last house remining in the 256 pieces of primitive objects, like spheres ore cubes, modificated too and linked together, and have my definitive house as one finish piece, immediatly created if I take it from my inventory to th sl world, where I can do this operation, in sandbox area, obviously. And with furniture too. The ports: I inserted a script already in my possession that opens and closes the doors with a simple click on them, with the sounds that are part of the scripts, which can be inserted in the same section of the script insertion, if you have it (as a wav file), for example that reproduce the sound of a opening door. So, I have only one option: eliminate the pieces that I don't need in those houses, and modificate, a bit, if I need, the restant objects, and link every single pieces, no more 256, together: finally, I created a lot of portable houses! In this last days I start worked on the furniture in it but the external, the houses, were great and very different finish work, about one week ago. Good job Yalexander. Good job.
